About MVRER
Our Mission
MVRER was created to help Create and Grow an Online Photographic Database of all species recorded by MCRI on Nosy Komba. And Impact Madagascar based in Antananarivo.
It will be stored, backed up and Collated on a Large Google Drive account, which I am donating. When I am not In Madagascar, I will donate my time to run and maintain this Site and Database.
I am considering Collaboration with other Organizations in the future, to create a database throughout Madagascar, which would be a useful online resource for researchers.
Another passion of mine is Education within local communities. In the past, I converted my photos in to line art, which was extremely popular. A folder of Educational Resources Colouring pages and Animal Masks will be available through this site. I have searched the internet and compiled over 25 colouring pages of animals of Madagascar.
About Me
My name is Riche Rifkind
As a child I loved exploring and learning about nature.
As a Teenager I was involved with the Youth Program at Edinburgh Zoo.
For a couple of years as an adult I was very involved with my Local Wildlife Trust.
In 2011, I was lucky enough to go on a 6 month volunteer research project in the middle of the Ecuadorian Amazon (which changed my life).
I did other Projects in Ecuador, Chile, Bolivia and Brazil, and lived in Brazil for almost 10 years.

Now is a new chapter of my life, and I would like to focus on Madagascar. (I feel I have a lot to offer, at the same time learning and expanding my passion for photography).
I have been doing photography for about 20 years; my main passion is Macro photography of insects and Reptiles. Through my years of doing it, my eyes have now become accustomed, so spotting small insects (even if camouflaged) can be easy.
